Robertson Ward Associates Limited (RWA) is a registered architectural firm that has been practicing architecture in the Caribbean for some 50 years. Under the direction of Mr. John Robertson (Happy) Ward the Antigua office was first opened in 1957 after he developed the Mill Reef Club. He later opened an office in Barbados when he was asked by Mr. Ronald Tree to design the world famous Sandy Lane Hotel. Since then, RWA has specialized in the master planning of several destination resort developments, hotels and custom residential work with well over 100 completed planning projects in tourism, hotels, eco-lodges and feasibility studies within the greater Caribbean basin. Our Barbados office today is located at “Warrens Court” in Warrens under the direction of Mr. Charles Boyce and Mr. David Senior. We still maintain offices in Antigua and Bahamas, where inter-office networking gives the firm the added ability to be able to draw upon the most appropriate resource personnel. RWA encourages strong client relationships, believing in the importance of a stimulating and enjoyable design experience.

Charles A. St.C. Boyce BIA.

Managing Director

Mr. Boyce is a Director of RWA Architects Limited/Robertson Ward Associates Limited, Barbados, and a Director of Robertson Ward International Limited. With over thirty-seven years experience as an architect, Mr. Boyce has been involved in various areas of architectural practice, this includes commercial and retail offices, leisure and resort destinations, hotels, and custom residential developments.

Mr. Boyce has worked extensively throughout the Caribbean.

 

David J. Senior RIBA., BIA.

DirectorDavid Senior has 45 years experience in Architectural Practice. He is presently a Director of Robertson Ward Associates Limited/RWA Architects Limited in Barbados and Robertson Ward International Limited in Antigua. His early experience was in Educational facilities in the U.K. and as Project Architectfor the World Bank Educational Programme in Jamaica.
Since Joining RWA, while still having some involvement in Education, his main area of expertise has been in Resort, Hotel and Custom Villa Developments throughout the Eastern Caribbean.
David is a Past President of the Barbados Institute of Architects and a charter member of the Rotary Club of Barbados West.
